Bears Ready for Weekend Series Against Baylor

WACO, Texas. – The Mercer baseball program (9-5) will continue its Texas tour with a weekend series against Baylor (5-8) beginning on Friday, March 10 at 7:30 p.m. (ET) at Baylor Ballpark. This is the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

Baylor has yet to win a weekend series this year after dropping Opening Weekend to Central Michigan, getting swept by Duke, and splitting a four-game series with Youngstown State. BU has allowed 35 more runs than Mercer in one less game this season, particularly driven by 52 runs surrendered to Duke.

None of the three projected starting pitchers for Baylor have earned a win this season. Mercer's weekend starters have recorded more strikeouts and less hits than Baylor's named starters. The Baylor pitching staff has only allowed nine home runs to opponents so far this season.
