Josh Farmer retired the side in the next two innings, including a strikeout in each frame. The Bears added two more to the total in the third and forced another pitching change for the Matadors. With the bases loaded, Bradley Frye hit a sacrifice fly to score Austin and extend the lead to 3-0.
