Austin Douglas Ranked 6th Among Returning FCS Running Backs

Rankings released by Bluebloods using Pro Football Focus database
MACON, Ga. – Mercer football running back Austin Douglas was graded out as the sixth best returning running back in the FCS according to Bluebloods who used Pro Football Focus' database to come up with the rankings.
Each player's PFF grade represents their overall offensive grade from the 2022 season, including postseason games.
Douglas was ranked as the sixth best returning running back in the FCS with a PFF offensive grade of 88.3.Â
Last season, Douglas burst onto the scene in the season opening win over Morehead State with five carries for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns.Â
He led all Mercer running backs with an average 6.9 yards per carry despite having his season ended early due to injury in the seventh game of the season against ETSU. He had 58 carries for 403 yards and five rushing touchdowns through the first seven games.
Mercer fans will have a chance to watch Douglas and the Bears five times inside of Five Star Stadium this season.
