Game Themes For 2023 Football Season Announced

The Bears will host five games at Five Star Stadium
MACON, Ga. – The promotional dates and themes for Mercer football's 2023 home games at Five Star Stadium this fall have been announced.
Here are the promotional dates and themes for the Bears' 2023 football season:
September 9 at 7 p.m.: vs Morehead State: Education Day
Mercer's home opener against Morehead State will be Education Day. Local students and educators from the surrounding area will be invited to Five Star Stadium to watch the home opener.
September 30 at 4 p.m.: vs VMI: Family Weekend
Mercer's first home game against a SoCon opponent will be on September 30 when VMI makes its way down to Macon. It will be Family Weekend as all families of Mercer students are encouraged to attend.
October 14 at 4 p.m.: vs Chattanooga: 478 Day/Think Pink
The Bears will play Chattanooga on October 14 for 478 Day and Think Pink Day. Mercer will highlight and recognize the local businesses and communities in Middle Georgia in honor of 478 Day. Mercer is proud to host a Think Pink game for breast cancer awareness.
October 21 at 4 p.m.: vs Wofford: Military Appreciation Day
Military Appreciation Day will be on October 21 versus Wofford. Mercer Athletics will honor the men and women who serve or have served our country on the home front and abroad, as well as those who protect and serve our communities on Military Appreciation Day.
November 11 at 3 p.m.: vs Samford: Homecoming
After playing a thrilling overtime game in the regular season finale last year at Samford, the defending SoCon champion Bulldogs will make their way to Macon on November 11 for Homecoming. Mercer alumni are encouraged to make their way back to campus for pregame festivities and the game. Mercer cheer, band, and dance teams will be recognized for all they put in throughout the season in support of the Bears. It will also be Senior Day as Mercer football seniors will be recognized for the final time in front of Mercer fans in a pregame ceremony.Â
