Mercer Places 37 Student-Athletes On Spring 2023 Academic All-Conference Team

Baseball led all spring sports with eight
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Bears placed 37 student-athletes on the Spring 2023 Academic All-Conference Team, as announced by the Southern Conference office Tuesday.

The baseball team led all Mercer spring sports with eight student-athletes named to the Academic All-Conference Team, followed by women's track and field who had seven. Softball, women's basketball, and women's golf each placed five student-athletes on the Academic All-Conference Team. They were followed by men's golf with three, and men's and women's tennis with two each.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference team, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.3 cumulative grade-point average at the conclusion of the spring semester and were required to compete in at least one-half of their team's competitions during the recently concluded campaign. In addition, the student-athletes must have successfully completed at least three semesters at their institutions, making true freshmen and first-year transfers ineligible for inclusion.
