Bears Finish 7th At Wexford Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD – Tobias Jonsson closed out day two in Hilton Head, South Carolina finished round three at 2-over-par and finished tied for 5th place. As a team, the Bears finished in seventh place.

The Bears (+8) combined for a 28-over-par in the final round at the Wexford Plantation Course. Jonsson (+2) is finished the event tied for fifth, while Jonathan Parker (+7) carded a 3-under-par 69 in the final round moving up into a tie for 22nd place. Jay Spivey(+8), ended his final round off shooting a two-over-par after shooting four-over-par in round two. Trey Mixon (+14) ended his final round shooting seven-over-par for a share of 48th place. Jacob Uyesato (+18) finished round three at eight-over-par and tied for 66th place.

Georgia State (+9) rose up the leaderboard and finished first after shooting three-over-par on the final day, with South Carolina Aiken (+13) finishing second. East Carolina (+21) stayed in third while Samford (+25) and High Point (+25) finished the Wexford Intercollegiate tied for fourth.

Mercer will be return to the tee box on March 4th at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, South Carolina.
