MAF Launches 11th Annual Donor Drive
3/4/2024 9:00:00 AM | Athletics Department
The Mercer Athletic Foundation (MAF) launched its eleventh-annual Donor Drive Challenge on Monday morning, re-branding this year's event with the title of as 'A11 In' to celebrate the 11th Year of the Donor Drive Challenging, and are challenging ALL alumni, parents, staff, and friends of Mercer in making this the most successful donor drive to date. The week-long event (March 4-10) aims to solicit $100,011 in gifts.
"The Donor Drive Challenge is the most important event of the year for the Mercer Athletic Foundation," said Brian Gerrity, Mercer Deputy AD and Executive Director of MAF. "We have raised over $1,000,000 since the event started, and all of the funds generated go directly back to helping our programs win, recruit and improve the student-athlete experience. I am looking forward to a great week."
Every gift, regardless of size, given from March 4-10 will count towards the goal of $100,011. Thanks to a group of sponsors and lead donors, the MAF has a $35,000 dollar-for-dollar matching gift in place to help eclipse the $100,011 goal.
MAF would like to recognize this year's lead sponsors of Five Star Automotive, OrthoGeorgia, Roland, Abbott & DeZoort Insurance and Core Management Resources.
Over recent years, the Mercer Athletic Foundation has provided the resources for several key initiatives which have had dramatic impacts on the student-athlete experience. The MAF has helped provide funding to support team equipment, championship rings, facility upgrades, computer software, broadcast equipment and championship travel.
To make a secure online gift in support of the challenge, please visit MercerBears.com/A11IN. Donors can also mail a check to the Mercer Athletic Foundation (1501 Mercer University Drive, Macon, GA 31207). Checks should be made payable to the Mercer Athletic Foundation and place "Donor Drive" on the note line.
For more information about the challenge, or to join Mercer's corporate sponsors with a matching gift, please contact Brian Gerrity at (478) 301-4003.
