Dalley Hits Grand Slam In Bottom Of The Ninth In Loss To VMI

MACON --Â Sophomore Ty Dalley collected four RBI, but the Mercer Bears (18-16, 3-6 SoCon) fell to the VMI Keydets (20-19, 4-5 SoCon) 11-5 on Sunday.
Senior Fred Wilson started and took the loss on the mound for Mercer. Six total pitchers took the mound for the Bears in the game.
Dalley went 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk for the Bears. Senior Noah Best went 1-for-4 with a double. Antonio Brown logged Mercer's only other RBI aside from Dalley's four.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bears were trailing 3-0 in the second inning when Noah Best came across to score the lone run of the inning for Mercer and got them on the board.
The Keydets expanded their lead to 11-1 by the ninth inning. Mercer got a two-out grand slam from Dalley to score all four of their runs in the inning before ultimately falling 11-5.
