Bears Sit Fifth After Day One Of The SoCon Golf Championship

GREENSBORO – Senior Tobias Jonsson is currently leading the Bears after shooting a 1-under-par 71 in round one at the Southern Conference Golf Championship at the 7,174 yard, par 72 Reynolds Lake Oconee Course.

Jacob Uyesato shot a 1-over-par to move to a share of 15^th place after shooting a 1-over-par 73 in the round one. Jonathan Parker is currently tied 22^ndplace after shooting a 3-over-par 75. Gustav Sjoberg (+5) and Jay Spivey (+6) have a share of 31^st and 34^th place, respectively.

ETSU sits a top of the 8-team field after shoot 13-under-par in round one. Chattanooga finished round one shooting four-under-par and in sole possession of second place. Behind Chattanooga is Furman, who shot a 2-under-par and sits four strokes ahead of UNCG (+2).

The Bears will return to the tee box tomorrow, April 22 at the Southern Conference Golf Championship.
