Bears Match Program-Best Finish At SoCon Championship

GREENSBORO – The Bears finished round three of the Southern Conference Golf Championship shooting two-over-par and finishing the tournament in fifth place. This fifth place finish ties the best finish has had at the SoCon Championship.

Tobias Jonsson (-6) finished the championship tied for 6^thplace after shooting a 1-under-bar. During Jonsson's final round he totaled 4 birdies and 11 pars. Finishing behind Jonsson was Gustav Sjoberg(+4), who finished tied for 20^thplace after shooting 2-under par in the final round. Sjoberg tallied 3 birdies, oe eagle, and 11 pars.

Jacob Uyesato (+7) shot a 4-over-par in the final round to finish tied for 26^thplace. Jay Spivey (+8) and Jonathan Parker (+12) combined for 5 birdies and finished tied for a share of 28^th and 34^th place, respectively.

ETSU (-30) finished a top of the 8-team field after shoot 8-under-par in the final round. Chattanooga finished the championship strong, shooting 10-under-par in the final round, two strokes behind ETSU. Behind Chattanooga is UNCG, whose five-under-par set them firmly into third place.
