LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BEARSÂ |
Mercer got swept in its conference series over the weekend at Western Carolina. The bright spot of the trip was a robbed home run by Jackson Cherry that was the #5 play on SportsCenter Top 10 the next day. The Bears lost that first game 12-3 and similarly lost Saturday's game 10-3. Sunday's game started out the complete opposite with Parker Lester hitting a home run in his first at bat and the team leading 10-1 in the fourth inning. MU gave up six runs on the way to a tie in the fifth when WCU hit a walk-off home run in the ninth to send the Bears home. Every Mercer pitcher that appeared in the game was accountable for at least one run. Ty Dalley and Jackson Cherry both recorded three RBI in the game. |
