
Women's Tennis Signs Three Players To Roster

MACON, Ga. – Mercer women's tennis head coach Eric Hayes announced the addition of three players to the Mercer women's tennis roster for the 2024-25 season. Two incoming transfers will join the team in Lea Kozierowski and Dzhastina Mikhnova, while Marie Bannmeyer will be an incoming freshman for next season.
Lea Kozierowski
Sophomore
Allendorf, Germany
University of West Georgia
Kozierowski joins Mercer after her freshman season at West Georgia. In singles she played as West Georgia's number one and had an overall singles record of 6-7 including three conference wins. Last season, Kozierowski earned a win over Auburn University at Montgomery's 18th ranked singles player in Division II. She ended her spring season with a 7-6 doubles record winning four conference matches with her partner Futaba Saito.

Kozierowski's national German ranking before enrolling at West Georgia to play college tennis was 230. Some of Kozierowski's accomplishments playing internationally before college tennis include, she was an ITF Grade 4 Doubles finalist in Hannover, Germany in 2022Â and an ITF Grade 5 doubles finalist in Honfleur, France in 2022. She also was an ITF J30 doubles finalist in Heiveld, Belgium in 2023.

Merrimack College
Mikhnova joins Mercer after a four-year career at Merrimack College. She was Merrimack's number one singles player last season and as a junior was named NEC All-Conference Second Team in singles. She has been named NEC Player of the Week and Prime Performer numerous times in her career at Merrimack.

 Last season, Mikhnova had a record of 3-2 in singles matches on court one. She has a UTR ranking of 8.12 and an ITF ranking of 18.8.

Marie Bannmeyer
Freshman
Paris, France
Bannmeyer is an incoming freshman from France. She has a French ranking of 0, which is equivalent to a top 150 ranked American junior. Bannmeyer has played in ITF and WTA events all over Europe. Her mother, Celine Beigbeder, was also an excellent tennis player in her own right as she was ranked as high as #84 in the world on the WTA tour.
