MACON – Five home games, a Week 0 matchup against nationally-ranked UC Davis and a late-November road trip to take on Southeastern Conference powerhouse Auburn highlight the 12-game Mercer football schedule that was released on Friday morning by head coach Mike Jacobs.
Â
Season tickets for Mercer's 5-game home slate have already gone on sale, and can be purchased for as little as $75 by visiting MercerBears.com/Tickets. Start times for each game will be announced later this spring.
Â
The Bears will kick off their regular season slate on August 23 when they travel to the Historic Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala., to battle fellow NCAA quarterfinal participant UC Davis in the FCS Kickoff. Mercer made its national television debut at the same event in 2023 when it knocked off North Alabama, 17-7, in front of an ESPN audience.
Â
MU will open up its five-game home slate on August 30 when it suits up to take on Presbyterian at Five Star Stadium, and will open the month of September with the first of two (October 18) scheduled bye weeks. The Orange & Black will lift the lid on the Southern Conference portion of its regular season slate on September 13 when it welcomes Wofford to Five Star Stadium.
Â
Mercer will close out the month of September with trips to both The Citadel (September 20) and East Tennessee State (September 27), but will return home on October 4 to lock horns with SoCon nemesis Samford.
Â
An 847-mile road trip is on the docket for the Bears on October 11 when they trek to central New Jersey to take on Princeton before returning home again on October 25, this time to tangle with SoCon rival VMI. MU will ring in November with two-straight SoCon road games - a trip to Furman on November 1 followed by an away matchup at Western Carolina on November 8 - and will culminate Homecoming on campus on November 15 when it goes toe-to-toe with Chattanooga.
Â
The Bears will close out their regular season schedule on November 22 when they make the short hop to the Plains of Auburn, Ala., to battle the Tigers inside the 88,000-seat Jordan-Hare Stadium.
