Martin Crowned SoCon Defensive Player Of The Week

MACON, Ga. - Sophomore libero Aubri Martin was crowned Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week after she helped lead the Bears to a 2-0 week against The Citadel and Furman, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
Martin has been the glue in the back row for the Bears all season long playing in every set for Mercer. Martin totaled 42 digs (6/set) on the week along with 15 assists and two services aces. In Mercer's win over The Citadel on Thursday, Oct. 30 the sophomore put up 19 digs, four assists and two service aces. The Green Cove Springs, Fla. native tallied her fifth double-double of the season against the Paladins on Saturday, Nov. 1 with 23 digs and 11 assists.
