Bears Complete Day One At Stitch Intercollegiate

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Mercer men's golf team completed day one of the Stitch Intercollegiate on Friday. Originally scheduled for two rounds on day one, weather shifted play for the weekend, with 27 holes on deck for Saturday to wrap up the event.

Nathan Trodd had the low round for the Bears in round one, shooting a two-over 73. Cole Hanson, Henry Robards and J.T. Herman each shot a 77 in round one for a six-over showing.

UNCG grabbed the team lead after round one, but Lipscomb has since overtaken the top spot with a strong start to round two. Appalachian State's Aidan Browning and NC State's Michael Vick are tied for the individual lead at three-under.
