Bears Wrap Up Day One At SoCon Championship

GREENSBORO, GA. – The Mercer men's golf team wrapped up day one of the SoCon championship on Sunday, finishing even as a team. The Bears sit in a tie for fifth place as a team.

Cole Hanson got off to a strong start, shooting three-under on the day to move into a tie for third on the individual leaderboard. Trey Mixon also had an excellent first round, finishing one-under to tie for 13th.

UNCG grabbed the team lead after round one at 11-under. Chattanooga's Garrett Engle shot six-under to take the top spot on the individual leaderboard.
