MACON – The 25th-ranked Mercer football team opens the road portion of its Southern Conference regular season schedule when it takes on league rival The Citadel on Saturday at 2 p.m. inside Johnson Hagood Stadium in Charleston, S.C.

Saturday's game will be broadcasted live on ESPN+ with Dave Weinstein and Vad Lee handling the duties in the booth. Rick Cameron and the rest of the Mercer Sports Network will call all of the action as well, and fans can listen to that broadcast on The Creek 100.9 FM, or by visiting Sportsmic. A live statistics link is also being provided by The Citadel athletics department.

James Platte also returns after  pacing the league with a 47.09 punting average in 2024 ...
