MACON – Athletics department officials from Mercer University announced Tuesday evening that the Mercer Athletic Foundation has launched a new website in an effort to unite alumni, fans, parents, businesses and friends in supporting scholar-athletes who represent the Bears in competition, in the classroom and throughout the community.
Â
GiveMAF.com will serve as the primary online hub for donors, alumni, parents, fans, and friends of the university who wish to provide financial support to Mercer Athletics. Visitors are encouraged to make one-time or recurring gifts that directly impact athletic programs by helping fund areas such as recruiting, player development, team resources, facility improvements, technology, equipment and championship pursuits.
Â
The website will also serve as a resource for businesses and community partners seeking to support Mercer Athletics. It highlights opportunities for corporate involvement and encourages collaboration between the university, local businesses and supporters who share a commitment to the success of Mercer scholar-athletes.
Â
The new website enhances Saturday's announcement by the MAF that it has created a revenue-sharing initiative designed to support Mercer scholar-athletes in an era where institutions are permitted to share revenue directly with athletes. The New Heights Fund will help Mercer recruit, develop, and retain elite scholar-athletes while continuing to provide a first-class collegiate experience.
