COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Miguel Hugas earned his fifth win of the season after a dominant eight innings that secured Mercer a 10-2 win over Tennessee Tech (7-12) at Bush Stadium on Saturday evening.Â

The Bears broke the deadlock first with a three-spot in the top of the third inning highlighted by a two-run double (12) from Titan Kamaka. Tennessee Tech responded in the fourth with a two-run home run by Jorsixt Jimenez that hugged the foul pole. Brant Baughcum answered with a solo home run (2) to left center in the fifth. Later in the frame, Devyn McEachron mashed a two-run double (2) off the left-field fence and came home off a wild pitch to extend Mercer's lead to five runs. Logan Shepherd tacked on another run with yet another RBI single and a pair of sacrifice flies by Baughcum and Chris Katz capped off the 10-2 win.
