Scheck Tied For 14th Place After Second Round At Florida State Match-Up

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Katie Scheck is tied for 14th place as the Mercer women's golf team wrapped up second round play Saturda evening in 10th place out of 12 teams, at the Florida State Match-Up from Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.

As a team, the Bears are in 10th place with a team score of 43-over, 619. Florida State is the 36-hole leader at 9-under, 567.

Scheck's scorecard on Saturday was busy, as she had five birdies, four bogeys and one double bogey to finish with her second round of 73 (+1) at the tournament. For the tournament, she is at 2-over, 146. Florida State's Sophia Fullbrook leads the 69-player field at 8-under, 136.

Scheck has been excellent on the par 4's through the first two days as she is 1-under on the par 4's which is tied for the third best score in the field.

The Bears will begin the final round on Sunday morning with Mahima Vurupatur the first Bear to tee off at 9:30 a.m.
