Scheck Earns Top 20 Finish To Lead Bears At Florida State Match-Up

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Katie Scheck finished tied for 16th place and the Mercer women's golf team finished in 10th place out of 12 teams at the Florida State Match-Up from Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Florida.

As a team, the Bears finished with a team score of 56-over, 920. Host Florida State won the tournament at 4-under, 860.

Scheck finished the tournament at 5-over, 221. Florida State's Sophia Fullbrook won the individual title by five strokes at 10-under, 206 in a field of 69 players.

Scheck carded 36 pars over her 54 holes which was tied for the fifth most in the field. Riley Kim carded her best round of the tournament on Friday with a 73 (+1). She had a total of 37 pars throughout the tournament which was tied for the most in the field.

Mercer will conclude its regular season schedule on March 29-30 when the Bears host the Houston Lake Invitational from Houston Lakes Country Club in Perry, Georgia.
