Kim Cards Second Round Of 70 Tuesday At Golfweek Red Sky Classic

WOLCOTT, Colo. – Riley Kim carded the lowest round of the day for the Bears on Tuesday with a second round of 70 (-2) at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic from Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colorado.
Mercer had a much improved second round compared to its first round as the Bears shot 17 shots better on Tuesday than Monday's round with a second round of 3-over, 291. Mercer's round of 3-over, 291 was the 11th best round of the day in the 20-team field.
As a team, the Bears have a 36-hole score of 23-over, 599 and are in 19th place in a strong field of six top 30 teams in the country. No. 2 USC leads the field at 33-under par.
Kim's round of 70 is her lowest 18-hole score so far this season. Her round consisted of four birdies with two of them coming on par 3's and the other two on par 5's.
The final round will begin Wednesday morning from a shotgun start at 10 a.m. ET.
