MACON, Ga. - Mercer women's lacrosse attacker Caroline Glus was named Big South Offensive Player of the Week for games played March 16-22 as first announced by the conference office.
Last week, Glus recorded three goals and a season-high two assists for Mercer against No. 9 Clemson. She placed all four of her shots on goal and converted her lone free-position attempt. The senior opened her scoring with an unassisted goal at the 4:08 mark of the second quarter before registering her first assist less than three minutes later, just before halftime. She added her second goal in the third quarter and later played a role in Mercer's back-to-back fourth-quarter goals, assisting on a goal by Sofia D'Angelo before scoring her third goal of the game later in the fourth quarter.
Glus and the Bears will open up Big South play on Saturday, March 28 at High Point. First draw is set for noon.
