Mercer Trio Named To CSC Academic All-District Squad

MACON – The work ethic both in the classroom and on the hardwood was on full display for the Mercer women's basketball team on Wednesday when junior Abigail Holtman joined senior teammates Ariana Bennett and Elena Cabello on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

To receive academic all-district recognition, a basketball student-athlete must have at least a cumulative 3.50 grade point average as both an undergraduate and graduate student (if applicable) while competing in at least 90 percent or starting 66 percent of their team's games for the season.

Cabello, who maintains a 3.717 cumulative grade point average as a psychology major at MU, played in 29 games (9 starts) for the Bears this season, while Holtman saw action in 26 games (18 starts) and currently boasts a 3.687 GPA as a psychology major as well.

Bennett currently holds a 3.526 cumulative GPA in kinesiology at Mercer. She played in 28 games (20 starts) across the 2025-26 season while putting up 10.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
