The Bears begin the fall slate with two exhibitions on the road against Winthrop and South Carolina. Mercer ends the preseason with an exhibition against Stetson on August 14 before beginning the regular season against Florida Atlantic at Betts Stadium on August 20. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Mercer travels to Jacksonville, Florida, three days later for its first test on the road against North Florida at Hodges Stadium. The Bears return to Betts for a two-match homestand with UNC Wilmington and UAB on August 27 and 31, respectively.
The Bears rack up their mileage in the month of September with four straight matches on the road. Mercer begins its trek with a meeting against Belmont on September 4 before taking on in-state rivals Georgia State and Georgia Southern on September 9 and 13, respectively. The Bears end their three-week trip with their Southern Conference opener at Furman on September 19.
Mercer continues conference play the following Saturday at Betts Stadium against SoCon foe UNC Greensboro on September 26. The Bears embark on their second longest road trip of the season the following weekend with a conference match against the newest addition to the SoCon, the Liberty Flames, on October 3. Mercer stays on the road and plays Charlotte three days later.
Wofford comes into town on October 10 before the Bears head to Raleigh, North Carolina, for their match with NC State on October 14. Mercer is scheduled to defend Betts Stadium against ETSU on October 17 before hitting the road for its next two contests. The Bears stop in Jacksonville for the second time this season for a tilt with the Dolphins on October 20 before traveling up the east coast to VMI for their final conference match of the season on October 24.
