Men’s Golf Leads After Two Rounds Of Sandestin Collegiate Classic

DESTIN, Fla. – A bogey-free round by Cooper Franklin allowed the freshman to jump 12 spots in the individual standings and the Bears to claim the lead after the second round of the Sandestin Collegiate Classic at Raven Golf Club in Destin, Florida.
Franklin, a native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, is taking advantage of being in his home state and shot a bogey-free 66 in Tuesday's round. Franklin entered the day tied for 18th place individually and now sits tied with teammate Lukas Lautrup in sixth.
Phillips Swift remains just outside of the Top 10 after shooting a two-under 68. The sophomore from Macon, Georgia, sank four birdie putts to increase his tournament total to eight.
The third and final round of the Sandestin Collegiate Classic is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16. You can follow along with live scoring here.
