2014 at MERCER: Started all 12 games as the Bears’ primary lockdown cornerback during his junior campaign … Selected to the All-Southern Conference Second Team by the media … Ranked second on the team with 58 total tackles (42 solo, 16 assisted) … Had five or more tackles in seven contests … Finished with two tackles-for-loss … Led the team with three interceptions … Topped the SoCon and ranked second nationally with 1.6 passes defended per game (19 total) … Had five games with multiple pass break-ups … Also led the team with two forced fumbles … Tallied three pass break-ups and an interception in a win at Stetson (Sept. 13) … Recorded 10 tackles, three pass break-ups and a forced fumble in the Bears’ inaugural SoCon victory, a win at VMI (Sept. 27) … Finished with seven tackles (one for loss), two pass break-ups, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery at Samford (Oct 4) … Had six tackles and an interception in games against Austin Peay (Oct. 11) and Chattanooga (Oct. 25).
2013 at MERCER: Started all 12 games at cornerback as a sophomore … Earned a helmet sticker from ESPN College Football, the ESPNU #Great8 Play of the Week and made SportsCenter Top 10 for his interception return for a score against Drake … Named the Pioneer Football League Defensive Player of the Week after recording 11 tackles and the award-winning pick six … Totaled 48 tackles (31 solo, 17 assisted) … Recorded 1.5 tackles for loss … Defended 18 passes (10 passes deflected, 8 broken up) on the season … Ranked second on the team with two interceptions … Forced a fumble in a win over Campbell (Oct. 26) … Also had an interception in a win over Jacksonville (Nov. 9).
HIGH SCHOOL: Two-sport standout at St. Pius X Catholic High School in Atlanta ... Lettered twice in football for head coach Paul Standard and twice in baseball for head coach JT Gilbert … Named the Defensive Player of the Year and was a First Team All-Region, All-Area and All-County selection during his football career … Named MVP for baseball team during his senior year and was named First Team All-Region … St. Pius X made the playoffs all four years and twice made an appearance in the state quarterfinals during his playing time … Played one year at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Ala.
