Jordon Bruner joined the Mercer Athletics Media Relations staff in June 2014 as the primary contact for football, baseball and men’s golf.
Bruner came to Mercer from Purdue University Calumet, where he served as the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Information, Marketing and Event Management for five years. During his time with the Peregrines, he oversaw the communications operation for a 12-sport athletic program, while leading the implementation of the University’s first outsourced athletics’ website, social media accounts and live web broadcasts.
Prior to Purdue Calumet, Bruner spent two years at Defiance College as a graduate assistant for sports information, serving as the primary contact for women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, softball, women's tennis and men's and women's track and field.
He received a master’s degree in business administration from Defiance in 2009 and completed his bachelor’s degree in economics from Bluffton University in 2007.
A native of Wauseon, Ohio, Bruner is married to the former Jenna Kauffman.
