Jessica Harbison Weaver joined Mercer as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in August of 2013. Prior to her appointment at Mercer, Harbison Weaver served as Coordinator of Academic and Membership Affairs in the NCAA office.
At Mercer, Harbison Weaver conducts oversight of all compliance related issues for Mercer’s 18 varsity sports. In addition to her responsibilities at Mercer, Harbison Weaver serves on the National Association of Athletics Compliance (NAAC) Awards Committee and the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA) Foundation Fund Committee.
While with the NCAA in Indianapolis, Harbison Weaver spent more than four years processing legislative relief waivers, giving interpretations for all three divisions and operating oversight of the Requests and Self Reports Online Case Management System. She was also a primary administrator of the coaches recruiting certification exam for Division I and II.
Harbison Weaver graduated from Butler University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2013, Harbison Weaver earned a Masters of Public Affairs from Indiana University. She resides in Macon with her husband Rodney.
