Robby Hamman joined the Mercer Athletics Media Relations staff in July 2015 as the primary contact for men’s basketball, volleyball, men’s lacrosse and sand volleyball.
Prior to arriving in Macon, Hamman served as a communications assistant at the University of Oklahoma. While at OU, he was the primary contact for men’s gymnastics and rowing and was the third contact for football.
During the 2013-14 year, Hamman worked in athletic communications at Penn State University. He served as the contact for the baseball, field hockey and men’s swimming teams and also worked with the women’s basketball program.
A native of Mentone, Ind., Hamman graduated from Bethel College (Ind.) with bachelor’s degrees in sport management and business administration in 2010. Hamman then completed a two-year graduate assistant program at Defiance College, graduating with a Master’s of Business Administration in 2013 while working as an assistant sports information director.
