Drew Tranum joined the Mercer football staff in August 2021 and took over the role of director of football equipment.

Tranum previously spent time at the University of West Florida, where he worked for three seasons. In 2019, as Head
Equipment Manager, Tranum and the West Florida Argos won the NCAA Division II Football National Championship.

Prior to his time at West Florida, he attended North Greenville University where he worked as student assistant working
with the inside linebackers. In 2016, Tranum was part of a North Greenville staff that directed the Crusaders to an outstanding
campaign. NGU finished with a sparkling 9-5 record overall – including a 5-1 mark at home. That lone loss came
in a competitive game against eventual SoCon champion and NCAA Division I FCS playoff participant The Citadel in early
October.

He graduated from NGU in 2018 with a bachelor’s in history.

Tranum is a native of Lexington, South Carolina; where he attended Lexington High School.
