Marques White joined the strength and conditioning staff as an assistant director for football strength and conditioning in August 2021.
White arrives in Macon from Western Carolina University where he served as an athletic performance assistant from Jan. 2020 until his arrival in Macon, working alongside Evan Barr, Director of Strength and Conditioning at Mercer.
From June 2019 until Jan. 2020, White served as the general fitness manager for Granite Bay Fitness.
For five months (Feb. 2019 – June 2019), White worked as an assistant director with the strength and conditioning staff at Susquehanna University where he assisted in the implementation, demonstration and training of over 20 teams, including football, hockey, soccer and lacrosse. Additionally, he ran a health and wellness boot camp for staff.
For six months in 2018 White was the strength and conditioning intern at UNLV where he worked directly with the football program and assisted in the implementation of injury prevention and performance enhancement programs while also creating individualized programs for freshman student-athletes.
His first stop on the collegiate level came during a summer 2018 internship at Fresno State University where he worked with the football staff and specifically focused on the defensive line. White also assisted with swimming and men’s and women’s basketball.
White brings a wealth of experience to Mercer having also worked with EBA Pharaohs Basketball Academy (2018), Fitness Evolution (2016-17) and Athletic Performance (2015-16). He earned a bachelors from Thomas Edison State University in sociology in 2018 and received his masters from Concordia University Chicago in applied exercise science in 2020.
