Before Mercer
A four-year member of the Smith County basketball team and was coached by Campbell Brandon. Hackett was a three-time all-district selection and two-time region and district all-tournament honoree. She was named the Freshman of the Year in 2012 and was been honored as defensive MVP. Hackett holds the Smith County High School single-game scoring record and reached 1,000 career points in her sophomore year. She also played for Chris Brown and the Tennessee Team Pride Black for three years. Hackett was honored by Smith County for academic excellence for three years and was a member of the Beta Club
