Mazyck joined the coaching staff in Macon in May 2024 after spending the previous seasons as the video coordinator at Wake Forest.
Mazyck served an integral part of Wake Forest’s success last season, coordinating the video efforts for the Demon Deacons, while also providing analysis and on-court strategies ahead of each matchup for the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest limited opponents to just more than 67 points per game during the 2023-24 campaign, and ranked among national leaders with more than eight steals an outing as well.

Prior to his move to North Carolina, Mazyck served one season under Clark-Heard at Cincinnati where he was charged with video coordination efforts, while also serving a short stint as an assistant coach for the Bearcats. While heading up the video team at UC, he also managed and coached the practice squad players and assisted the coaching staff with regards to skill development for the remainder of the squad.
Â
Mazyck spent two seasons (2018-20) as a graduate assistant on the staff at Clemson before diving into a full-time role as the video coordinator at Texas Tech for both the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
Â
A native of Kingstree, S.C., Mazyck earned his bachelor’s degree in parks, recreation and tourism management from Clemson in 2018, and completed his graduate work in athletic leadership from CU in 2020. Darrius and his wife, Brae, were wed in October 2021.
