This season marks the second for Kenetta Kelly as Mercer’sDirector of Basketball Operations. With the Bears, Kellyhandles day-to-day operations and travel planning while alsoserving as the team’s video coordinator.
Prior to Mercer, Kelly worked with the NBA League Office, whereshe served in various capacities for two years. While withthe NBA League Office, Kelly most recently worked as the WNBABasketball Operations Department Assistant, reporting to the WNBAChief of Basketball Operations and Player Personnel.
Before her work at the NBA League Office, Kelly worked as anassistant coach for the Long Island Wave/Panthers AAU team whilealso completing internships with the NBA and the Connecticut Sun ofthe WNBA. During her collegiate years, Kelly also spent timeas a Market Research Analyst Intern at Full Circle Sports inStamford, Conn.
Kelly graduated from Post University in Waterbury, Conn. in 2009with a Bachelor of Science Degree.
After suffering an ACL tear in high school, Kelly attended NorthCarolina A&T before transferring to Cecil Community College inNortheast, Md. While at Cecil, Kelly averaged 12 points andnine assists per game and helped the team to a 24-4 record.
After leading Cecil to the Maryland JUCO State Championshiprunner-up finish, Kelly transferred to Post University. Kellysuffered another ACL tear and only saw action in 15 games while atPost.
