Mercer Bears softball head coach Mike Raynor announced Wednesday the signing of Storm Collins to a Mercer Letter of Intent for the 2010 fall academic year.
Collins played high school softball at Windsor Academy here in Macon, Ga.
“Collins brings some outstanding character and athleticism to our team and program,” Raynor said.
Collins is an infielder/pitcher that played for Todd Dennard's Southern Speed, and is now playing for 18-U Putnam Pain. During her playing years at Windsor Academy, Collins was recognized as an All-Region player all four years, an All-State selection, MVP, Leadership Award, Best Offensive Player, and Team Captain.
Raynor said she will bring a diverse array of talent and composure to the Mercer Bear program. She is the latest in a deep 2010 recruiting class for the four-year head coach.
