Bears Get Two Back at Georgia Tech

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team announced Friday that they have made another late-season addition to their 2011 schedule by securing an April 27 doubleheader at Georgia Tech.
The Bears have had seven weather-related cancellations in 2011, yet by the end of the season will have made up four of them with next week's non-conference game at Florida St. and now the doubleheader at Georgia Tech. Mercer's games at Tech will start at 5 p.m.
Mercer had neither the Seminoles nor the Yellow Jackets on their initial 2011 schedule but did face both teams in 2010. The April 27 doubleheader will come just before the Bears final Atlantic Sun series of the season against in-state rival Kennesaw St.
The Bears have the weekend off as A-Sun action continues around the conference. Mercer heads to Tallahassee, Fla. April 12 for a doubleheader against Florida St. starting at 4 p.m.
