Bears Continue Fall Ball at Home This Weekend

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team continues its fall schedule this weekend hosting another trio of in-state programs this Saturday and Sunday.
The Bears welcome in Augusta State on Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m. and then on Sunday Georgia College and East Georgia head to Macon for games at noon and 2 p.m. respectively.
In its first weekend of fall action, the Bears went 3-1 with wins over Middle Georgia and a split with Darton at Sikes Field. Mercer has a retooled lineup this season with a lot of youth and head coach James DeFeo is working this fall on acclimatizing his new players to the program.
The four games this weekend will wrap up the fall schedule for the Bears and DeFeo plans to get his players the most experience he can in the time remaining.
