MACON, Ga. – The Mercer baseball program and head coach Craig Gibson announced their 2013 Spring Tune‐Up Camp details on Monday morning.
The one-day camp will be held on January 19, 2013 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at the on-campus home of the Bears, Claude Smith Field.
This date is prior to the tryout period for Georgia high school baseball and is designed to give players a forum to hone their skills in preparation for the upcoming high school season.
Campers, aged 13-18, will get position-specific instruction from the Mercer coaching staff and will participate in both game and skill instructional settings.
Other perks that come with attending the camp include an all-you-can-eat lunch at Mercer's award-winning cafeteria, a Mercer baseball long sleeve dri-fit shirt and admission into the Mercer men's basketball team's game later that night against USC-Upstate at 4:30 p.m.
Cost for the camp is $165.00 and is limited to 45 participants to allow for more hands on and personalized attention from the coaches.
Admission will take place on a first-come, first-serve basis. Camp is open to any and all entrants (Limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
