MACON – After playing seven of their last eight games on the road, the Mercer Bears (24-8, 4-2 SoCon) have the opportunity to protect Claude Smith Field from in-state rival West Georgia on Tuesday night.

Tuesday night's matchup between these two programs marks the end of a home-and-home series this season. Mercer won the first game in Carrollton, 13-9, due to 16 hits and three home runs by the Bears.
Mercer has the sixth-most homers through its first 29 games of the season. The Bears slugged 57 total home runs with Braydon Kersey leading the squad (11) and Logan Shepherd on his tail (10). 12 different members of Mercer's roster as left the yard at least once this year and six of those 12 have five or more four-baggers.

Patrick McCullough leads West Georgia's offense with a .371 batting average. The senior infielder also leads the Wolves with seven doubles, two triples and 72 total bases. McCullough went 1-for-4 with a home run last time he played Mercer.
Davis Williams is the Wolves' leading pitcher in both appearances and ERA. The redshirt junior from Cartersville, Georgia, has a 1.59 across 16 appearances. Williams has 14 strikeouts across 17 innings. He did not appear in the last meeting between the two teams.
