Bears Open Fall Schedule At Home On Saturday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer softball team and second year head coach, James Defeo, begin their fall season this Saturday at Sikes Field as the rejuvenated program continues to prep for next spring.
The fall schedule includes four date dates with a collection of five teams from across the state of Georgia.
This opening weekend the Bears welcome in Middle Georgia College for a double-header starting at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m on Saturday, and then hosts Darton College for another double-header beginning at noon.
The Bears return two seniors and bevy of new faces including five freshman and three transfer student-athletes. DeFeo has been working with the new team for close to a month now and said he is excited about the talent level coming into fall ball.
