
Volleyball Drops a Pair in Auburn

MACON, Ga. - Mercer sophomore Molly Locke knocked down 20 kills on the second day of the Active Ankle Challenge, but the Bears dropped 3-0 decisions to both Auburn and Wisconsin Green-Bay to close out the event.
Mercer was defeated by Auburn 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-14) in the opening match of the day and later dropped a 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-17) decision to Green Bay.
Locke collected 10 of her kills against Auburn while also posting six digs. Carly Iannarino registered a match-high 25 assists in the loss, while senior Emily Rochefort led the team with seven digs.
In the second match of the day, Locke added another 10 kills while tallying five digs. Iannarino notched 23 assists and Rochefort was credited with 19 digs.
Mercer returns to action in the UNC Wilmington Courtyard Classic on September 13.
