
Booth Named SoCon Player of the Week

MACON, Ga. – Mercer goalkeeper Jeremy Booth has been named the SoCon Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
Booth allowed just one goal on the week and posted a shutout as Mercer went 1-1. The junior fashioned a 0.47 goals-against average in over 191 minutes in goal for the Bears.
Booth allowed his only goal of the week in a 1-0, double-overtime loss to Furman on Tuesday, Oct. 6. After saving a Paladin penalty-kick in the first overtime, Booth was unable to stop a second attempt from the spot, as Furman took the win in the 102nd minute of play. Booth made two saves in the contest.
In a 1-0 win at ETSU on Saturday, Booth made five saves en route to his league-leading fifth clean sheet of the season.
Mercer will face VMI on Tuesday, Oct. 13 in Lexington, Va. The Bears and the Keydets are set to kickoff at 4:00 p.m.
