
Mercer Cross Country Competes at NCAA South Regionals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Seven Mercer cross country student-athletes competed at the NCAA South Regional Championships Friday morning at Apalachee Regional Park.

Six Mercer women finished in the top-200 of the women's 6,000-meter run, led by Anna Grzeszczak, who placed 134th with a time of 22 minutes and 58.1 seconds. Victoria Rogers (23:12.7), Kimmie Whiting (23:22.5), McKaylin Darsey (23:22.8), Courtney Czerniak (23:40.0) and Bethanie Bailey (24:04.3) followed Grzeszczak.

As a group, the Mercer women placed 27th out of a total 30 teams.

Michael Rowlands, the lone representative for the Mercer men, finished the 10,000-meter event in 35:20.0.
