KENNESAW, Ga. – The Mercer University women's golf team opened up play at the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate at the Pinetree Country Club on Monday, as the Bears wrapped up the first two rounds of play in 11th place.

THE BEARS IN THE TEAM STANDINGS
Mercer shot a 22-over-par 310 in the day's first round, before carding a 26-over 314 in round two. The Bears head into the final day of action just four strokes away from eighth place and 14 shots from fifth. No. 26 Texas Tech leads the field with total tally of 583, while Illinois and Augusta round out the top three.
MERCER SPOTLIGHT
Schanen led the Bears on the opening day with back-to-back scores of 4-over 76, as she finished the day in a tie for 17th. The freshman heads into the final round just two strokes outside of the Top 10.
