KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Mercer University men's golf team played 36 holes on Saturday, completing the first two of three rounds at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate at The Club at Irish Creek in North Carolina. The Bears turned in a score of 625 (+57) through two rounds.

THE BEARS IN THE TEAM STANDINGS
Mercer's score of 625 (57-over) places the team in 16th place in the Irish Creek Intercollegiate field. The Bears shot a first round score of 320 (36-over) in the morning and followed it with a second round mark of 305 (21-over) in the afternoon. Kennesaw State holds a one-shot lead heading into the final round of play on Sunday, carding a 567 (1-under). Right behind KSU is No. 14 Wake Forest with a 568 (even).
MERCER SPOTLIGHT
Brennan Bogdanovic led the way for the Orange and Black on Saturday. The freshman is 7-over with a two round score of 149. Bogdanovic carded a 75 (4-over) in the morning and a 74 (3-over) in his second 18 holes of the day.
