
Men’s Golf Heads to EKU Intercollegiate

MACON, Ga. – Keep the mojo going. That's the approach Mercer's men's golf program is taking as it heads to the EKU Intercollegiate in Kentucky just days after an impressive 20-under-par performance and top-five finish at the Golfweek Program Challenge in South Carolina.
The turnaround will only be a few days but a more opportunistic field and a course with a design that will complement the Bears well awaits Mercer in Richmond, Kentucky beginning Saturday in the two-day, three-round, 36-hole tournament.

Host Eastern Kentucky is hosting its first home event since 2007 and brings a competitive field to Richmond, Kentucky. UT Martin and Florida Gulf Coast headline the 18-team field that also includes Cleveland State, Dayton, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, George Mason, Longwood, Marshall, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee State and Youngstown State.

"The guys are well prepared to play this week. We are coming off a solid start to the season and looking forward to another opportunity to prove ourselves on a great golf course. I am excited to see our guys perform on the bent grass greens and fairways this course will provide. I think it will fit our eye well and our guys will like the course."
