Mercer men, women place 24th in respective meets

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Mercer women's and men's cross country teams both placed 24th out of 30 and 26 teams, respectively, at the Crimson Classic on Friday morning at the Harry Pritchett Running Park.

Mercer's women finished with a total time of 1:58:50.50 (individual average of 23:46.10) and placed ahead of Utah-Rio Grande Valley, Alabama State, Lipscomb, Southeast Louisiana, Jacksonville State and Troy in the women's 6K. Mercer's men had a total time of 2:21:43.20 (individual average of 28:20.64) in the 8K event and finished ahead of Alabama State and Jacksonville State.

Ania Grzeszczak (22:30.0) finished in the women's 6K top-100 (95th) and was followed by Courtney Czerniak (23:17.0) as Mercer's top finishers. Sean Parker (27:11.5) and Marc Reiser (27:56.3) were the men's top finishers.
