
Mercer Concludes Regular Season at Berry Invitational

Seven women, five men compete in Mount Berry
MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Mercer women's and men's cross country teams wrapped up their regular season at the Berry Invitational, hosted by Berry College, in a final tune-up before the Southern Conference Championships.

Mercer's seven women completed the 6K race with a total time of 2:22:58.74. The Bears were the only NCAA Division I women's team to compete in the event; their total time ranked 14th out of the field of 23 teams that completed across all levels.

Mercer's five men finished with a total time of 2:46:27.96, ranking second out of the two NCAA Division I teams competing in Saturday's race (Kennesaw State, 2:21:24.61). Freshman Josiah Jaqua placed second out of a total 14 Division I men's runners with a time of 27:45.72.

The Bears now turn their focus to the SoCon Championships, which will be held Oct. 28 in Spartanburg, S.C.
