Bears will head to Spartanburg for conference meets

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Mercer men's and women's cross country teams will square up with league foes at the Southern Conference Championships at the Milliken Research Center on Saturday.

The event will begin with the women's 5K race at 10 a.m., followed by the men's 8K race at 10:45 a.m. Awards will be distributed to the top team and individual performers once the men's race is finished.

Sophomore Marc Reiser owns the Mercer men's best 8K time this fall, having completed the USC Upstate Invite (Sept. 30) in 26:51.30. Fellow sophomore Ania Grzeszczak owns the Mercer women's top 5K time, an 18:42.90 finish at the USC Upstate Invite.
